1. Introduction

Kolivo (hereinafter "we", "our" or "the Application") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use, share and protect it when you use our mobile application and our services.

By using Kolivo, you accept the practices described in this policy. If you do not accept this policy, please do not use our Application.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

2.1 Data provided by the user

  • Identification information: full name, email address, phone number, profile photo.
  • Authentication information: password (stored encrypted), login credentials via Google or Apple.
  • Identity verification (KYC): ID document, verification selfie, processed by our verification provider.
  • Travel data: departure and arrival cities, travel dates, available carrying capacity (in kg).
  • Shipment data: package descriptions, package photos, estimated weight.

2.2 Automatically collected data

  • Usage data: interactions with the Application, screens viewed, features used.
  • Technical data: device type, operating system, application version.
  • Crash reports: diagnostic data collected via Sentry to improve the stability of the Application.

2.3 Financial data

  • Payment history: transaction amounts, dates, statuses. Payments are processed by Paystack; we never store your bank card information.

3. Use of data

We use your data to:

  • Provide our services: connect travelers and senders, manage reservations and payments.
  • Identity verification: ensure security and trust between users via the KYC process.
  • Communication: send you notifications related to your travels, reservations and your account (verification emails, confirmations).
  • Service improvement: analyze the use of the Application, fix bugs and improve the user experience.
  • Security: detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activities.

4. Data sharing

We never sell your personal data. We may share your data with:

  • Other users: your name, profile photo and verification status are visible to other users in the context of listings and reservations.
  • Service providers:
    • Firebase (Google): hosting, authentication, database, storage.
    • Paystack: payment processing.
    • Sentry: crash reports and diagnostics.
    • KYC provider: identity verification.
  • Competent authorities: if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored on Firebase's secure servers (Google Cloud Platform). We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Secure authentication via Firebase Auth.
  • Firestore security rules to control access to data.
  • Secure storage of passwords (hashing).

6. Your rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: consult your personal data from your profile in the Application.
  • Right of rectification: modify your personal information (name, phone) via the "Personal Information" section.
  • Right to erasure: delete your account and all your data via the "Delete my account" button in the settings. Deletion is permanent and concerns all your data (profile, travels, reservations).
  • Right to portability: request a copy of your data by contacting us.
  • Right to object: object to certain processing by contacting us.

7. Data retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. In case of deletion of your account, all your personal data is deleted from our systems within a reasonable time, except for data we are legally required to keep (transaction history for accounting obligations, for example).

8. Cookies and tracking

The Kolivo mobile Application does not use cookies. We do not perform advertising tracking and we do not use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).

Sentry is used solely for diagnostic purposes and to improve the stability of the Application.

9. Minors

Kolivo is not intended for persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised update date. We will notify you of significant changes via notification in the Application.
